Fagor Ederlan Brasileira was awarded in the Parts and Components category in a sign of recognition of the exceptional relationship between the two companies.

On 20 September Bosch presented its Magneto de Ouro 2022 award to its best suppliers, in the categories Products and Services and Parts and Components.  

Our subsidiary Fagor Ederlan Brasileira, specialised in casting and machining of safety components for automotive chassis and cast components for commercial vehicle powertrain, was awarded in the Parts and Components category. 

Fagor Ederlan Brasileira was the only foundry supplier awarded, which is an honour for us as it is a recognition of excellence, reliability and technical and economic performance that places Fagor Ederlan Brasileira among the key suppliers in the region.

Shaping the future

With the slogan "Shaping the future today", which emphasises the need to strengthen relationships and build a new future, the awards ceremony was held at the end of the Supplier Meeting organised by Bosch.

With these awards, held every two years, Bosch honours outstanding suppliers for their excellence and high technical value, as well as assessing their ability to align with its needs and maintain a sustained business relationship over time. Of all the suppliers that work for Bosch, a benchmark in the sector, only 16 received the award, with the ceremony returning to a face-to-face format.

Gastón Díaz Pérez, President and CEO of Bosch Latin America, said of the awards: "We appreciate the dedication and long-term partnership with our suppliers. Together we face great challenges, including logistics, lack of components, disruption and variation in production volume, but we come out stronger because of the commitment of our supply chain. So this award is also a way of recognising the effort we have put in over the past years."

The Bosch management model 

For Fagor Ederlan Brasileira, this recognition is a milestone. "The engineering and production challenges that such a project poses are an inspiration for us," said Jokin Basurco, managing director of Fagor Ederlan Brasileira. “Meeting the challenges resulting from Bosch's high quality standards requires us to have the best possible development capacity and qualified and skilled professionals. In addition, it is essential to work with simultaneous engineering in development, processes and improvements.” 

As a company that sets a benchmark in business management, Bosch works with suppliers who can meet its demands and set the same quality and competitiveness requirements as its own.
Fagor Ederlan Brasileira is well aware of this: after more than 20 years of business relationship with the brand, it has successfully incorporated these requirements into its management model. In fact, this is the second time it has been awarded the prize after receiving it for the first time in 2019-20.
